@ qadeemMusalman and amfarooqui; i agree with you both entirely! The country can serve its people and pilgrims with better accommodation rather than all of this building and rebuilding. At the moment, their leaders should think of storing food reserves for the future; it's a country with little agriculture compared neighbouring countries as more and more people visit this place each year. The oil is not here forever, think of the people first not the commercialism that they are investing in!!

I think these things aren't necessary, I mean look how Makkah was at the time of the Prophet (PBUH), and the one after him were only expanding it. maybe the electric trains and the buildings would be necessary because there are millions of Hujjaj and they need a place to live. and the electric trains would be useful for old and cripple people but other stuff like the umbrellas, I don't think they're necessary.
