Floating Village on Tonle Sap River
This is a "floating" village on the Tonle Sap River in Cambodia. Obviously they are not floating, but all the buildings including schools,temples, pig pens and of course, homes, are up on stilts over the flooded river plain. Everyone, even little kids, travel by row boat from place to place.

Floating Village of Belén 19/04/2006
Our first day in Peru, we went to the Floating Village of Belén in Iquitos, where people pretty much live on stilts. Afterwards we paid a visit to Belén Market to eat palm grubs. Yum. Then watched a small girl eat a snake. As you do.
